Energy Egghead has the personnel with the expertise to evaluate, design, and implement Deep Energy Retrofits (DER).

Tim J. Gould, M.Sc. - Director

Tim Gould is the owner and director of Energy Egghead. He is experienced in all aspects of measuring air infiltration, including blower door testing, duct blasting, and infrared scanning, and in conservation services, such as weatherization, air sealing, and insulation. Tim has a Master of Science degree in Resource Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Studies.

He has completed the Saturn Resource Management course for the Building Performance Institute (BPI) Analyst and the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) Rater training. Tim has passed the RESNET exam. Additionally, he is a Level I Infrared Thermographer.

He has a broad background in energy and was formerly employed by International Energy Systems, Inc., as well as Advanced Sun Technologies. Tim has considerable experience in building construction and renovation. He has a strong interest in "green" building design, focusing on natural resource and energy consumption.

Richard Brown - Associate

Richard Brown is a certified RESNET HERS Rater and Green Rater, Energy Star Partner and Licensed Massachusetts Construction Supervisor. He can certify homes for Energy Star, LEED H, IRS tax credits, and HERS Ratings and consults on high-performance building practices, and Remrate computer analysis/modeling.

His early interest in energy-efficient construction techniques began with training in the construction of Low-Energy Passive Solar Buildings in the 1980s. He applied this technology to his own residence by converting a former dairy barn into a super-insulated, passive solar home in Hamilton, MA.

Frederic Hopps - Associate

Fred is a Licensed Massachusetts Construction Supervisor, a Certified BPI Building Analyst, LEAD Safety EPA Certified, and has successfully passed the HERS RESNET exam. He has had professional air sealing and insulation training.

Fred has over 20 years of hands-on project management experience in the building industry. He is skilled in leadership and training, and his emphasis is on teamwork and problem solving. His interests are in clean energy and in educating and motivating others.

Jeremy Warren - Project Manager

Jeremy has performed many energy conservation projects with great success, including inulating, air sealing, foaming, and blowing cellulose.
